Speech and Myofunctional Therapy

Jessica Johstoneaux is a certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience providing therapy to both children and adults. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University of Oregon and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Brigham Young University. Jessica has worked with clients across a wide range of ages and settings, including elementary, middle, and high school both in person and online. With six years of experience delivering virtual therapy, she understands how effective and convenient online sessions can be for individuals with busy schedules or limited access to in-person services. A lifelong learner, Jessica is passionate about staying current in her field and regularly participates in continuing education courses and professional workshops to expand her expertise. In addition to her broad clinical experience, Jessica has pursued specialized training in orofacial myology, focusing on resolving tongue thrust, swallowing patterns, and oral resting posture. Addressing these foundational issues can have a positive impact on speech clarity, breathing, dental health, and orthodontic outcomes. Contact Jessica for a free 15-minute consultation to learn how she can support you or your loved one in achieving clearer communication and improved oral function.

Testimonials

“In my despair and feeling misunderstood for years by teachers and speech therapists I was referred by a dentist to Jessica. She is awesome. She is very knowledgeable and finally someone can help my kid.”

Christina, mom

“I appreciated how easily she got along with my son, even when he struggled with mood or motivation. Her kind and engaging manner really helped my son to thrive in his therapy program and make steady progress toward the program goals..”

Katrina, mom

“Jessica is clearly well trained in her field and that translates well as she works with my son, making it easy for him to understand what she is asking him to do and she adapts when something isn't helping him improve. I HIGHLY recommend Jessica.”
